Did you ever do pen and ink drawings in school or doodle on your homework with scratchy lines? I used to draw anime characters and scan them into the computer to colour them. I remember having a hard time getting the lines to translate from my paper to the program.

In these garments, Hart’s wild hand drawn lines create life and excitement. Their imperfection connects to our own. (Are flaws not the ultimate characteristic of being human?)

And yet, the delicate realization of these intricately wild lines has been made possible by technology. Drawings were scanned and laser cutting used to get the precise, clean edged cut.
